Niki Sadler, executive director of the Kansas Dental Charitable Foundation, and Dr. Jill Ellner, Manhattan dentist and chair of KMOM Manhattan local planning committee sat down with Mike Matson of the Within Reason with Mike Matson radio show the day before Thanksgiving to talk about the Kansas Mission of Mercy free dental clinic coming to Manhattan January 30-31.

Key take-aways for patients:

  • There is NO PATIENT REGISTRATION PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Services are first come, first served and ALL patients must be able to wait in line – no appointments except for children via https://KMOMKIDS.as.me/.
  • The doors will open for Patient Registration at 5:30 am on both Friday and Saturday (January 30-31) and waiting in line or determining how early to get in line, is up to the patient.
  • Patients should continue taking any prescription medication as directed so bring it along, so a dose is not missed should the patient have to wait a good portion of the day.
  • The patient will need to fill out a brief health history so bring a list of allergies, prescriptions, etc. to have this information available.
  • We will provide a sack breakfast and lunch for the patients at no cost to them. Patients with diabetes or anyone else who may require an alternative diet should bring food with them.

  • Volunteers must be 18 years old (16 years old if accompanied by a parent or guardian)
  • Volutneers will need to print a parking pass and pring it with them. It will be available on the website.
  • Out of state dentists and hygienists just need to register and KDCF staff will take care of sending your information to the Kansas Dental Board to have your temporary Kansas license issued.
